Just over 6 months since her main roster debut, Tiffany Stratton could become the next Women’s Champion.
Continuing to impress, Stratton overcame all the odds as she defeated Zoey Stark, Naomi, Lyra Valkyria, Chelsea Green and Iyo Sky to unhook the briefcase and become the new Miss Money in the Bank.
The match itself saw multiple scary bumps and bad landings, making it uncomfortable to watch at points in addition to tables and ladders not cooperating on multiple instances. Notable highlights included Sky driving Stark off the top of the ladder and through another ladder set up as a bridge.
The closing moments of the match saw Chelsea Green attempt to climb the ladder but was thrown to the outside and through two tables by Stratton, leaving a clear path for Stratton to unhook the briefcase and win the match.
On recent episodes of SmackDown, Stratton has been aligned with Queen of the Ring Nia Jax, who will challenge Bayley for the Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. Now that Stratton is in possession of the briefcase, Jax will be watching her ally very closely.
The Rise Of Tiffany Stratton Continues
Continuing to impress since her main roster debut at the Royal Rumble, many have predicted that Stratton would become the next winner of the Money in the Bank briefcase and an eventual Women’s Champion. With one task completed, Stratton is one step closer to becoming the champion.
Earlier in the night, Drew McIntyre won the men’s match to become the new Mr. Money in the Bank. However, McIntyre’s night would quickly become a disaster thanks to the interference from CM Punk.
