The Rock Provides Further Update On Injury Suffered

The Rock has elaborated on the recent injury he suffered while filming his latest movie.

The Hollywood star is set to play the lead role in A24’s The Smashing Machine which will focus on the life and career of fighter Mark Kerr. On June 11th, Rock posted a video to social media where he announced that he had suffered an injury and revealed that his elbow had become extremely swollen. In a follow-up post, Rock detailed his incredibly bruised elbow and confirmed that he has a ruptured bursa sac but thankfully no extensive damage:

The Rock To Produce Another Biopic

The People’s Champion has been involved in a number of combat sports-related projects in 2024. Beginning with his lengthy WWE return that culminated in a match at WrestleMania 40, Rock would go on hiatus to shoot the aforementioned movie The Smashing Machine and is also a part of the new Who Killed WCW? docuseries that recently premiered on VICE TV. While details for the project are limited at the time of writing, The Hollywood star also recently announced that a biopic on 16-time World Champion Ric Flair will be produced in the future.
