The New Day Implodes On WWE Raw

After more than 10 years together, The New Day have finally broken up.

Although a celebration marking 10 years of the group together was advertised ahead of the December 2nd episode of Raw, fans were not optimistic that the power of positivity would still be there when all was said and done. Following weeks of animosity between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, it appeared that The New Day’s run was set to end in spectacular fashion. While fans expected fireworks, few could have predicted what came next…

The New Day Ends

Kingston, Woods and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce appeared in the ring for the celebration. Woods noted that they never thought that The New Day would make it to 10 years and thanked the fans for all their support. Kingston added that it has been a hell of a ride and also acknowledged all the accolades they achieved as a trio. Woods shifted the tone by saying that the upcoming announcement was not the fans’ fault. Kingston appeared to tease the end of the group before being interrupted by a returning Big E.

Thanking the fans, Big E looked to play peacemaker for Woods and Kingston in an effort to keep the group together. In an emotional address, Big E stated that he would be Kingston and Woods’ manager moving forward, which was rejected by Woods. Woods noted that he and Kingston had been fighting for months, to which Kingston and Woods said to Big E “You left us”, showing no sympathy for their friend’s broken neck. Continuing their insults at Big E, the former WWE Champion eventually left the ring to bring the segment to an ending that no one expected.

Big E is closing in on 3 years out of action after suffering a broken neck back in 2022. In a new article, Big E wrote about being “at peace” if his in-ring career has truly come to an end.
