Seth Rollins made a surprise appearance on Halloween to let the WWE fans know when he is set to return from injury.
During the October 31 episode of Good Morning Football, Chicago Bears mascot Staley Da Bear made an unannounced appearance on the program while wearing a sling. Rollins then revealed that he was the one in the costume to the delight of the co-hosts.
When it was brought up that the last time Rollins was seen injured, it turned out to be a ruse, the Raw star responded that although he wished that were the case, this time the injury is real, and he will be away from the ring for the next six months:
“I wish I could rip this thing off. But I’m out. I’m out of action for six months. My World Championship is going to be worn by some schmuck, either Jey Uso or CM Punk. It’s awful. It really is the Halloween scaries, guys, but I’m here in full bear suit. How did you not see it coming?”
If Rollins is correct about his time away, that means that his return is scheduled to take place in late April to early May, meaning that it is very likely that The Visionary will not be a part of the WrestleMania 42 card in Las Vegas in 2026.
Seth Rollins Looking To Regain World Heavyweight Title Following WWE Return
During his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel, Rollins hit a coast-to-coast dive, which saw him land badly on his arm. On the following episode of Raw, Rollins was written off TV when he was attacked by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, shattering the previous alliance of The Vision. The following week, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Rollins was no longer able to defend his World Heavyweight Championship and had relinquished the gold. Following a battle royal taking place later in the show, it was later determined that Jey Uso would face CM Punk for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1.
When Rollins returns to TV, it is expected that he will target Breakker and Reed before looking to win his World Title back for a third time.
Features of Wrestling would like to wish Seth Rollins a full and speedy recovery.
