Danhausen could have interacted with a major sports star at the next WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
As reported by WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, it was pitched to have the very nice, very evil wrestler interact with New York Knicks MVP Jalen Brunson at the show. However, those plans were said to be shelved after WWE was informed that Brunson was set to undergo wrist surgery. The NBA star played through the Knicks’ championship run with the injury.
Although the plans were shelved, WWE sources are still hopeful that Brunson will make an appearance at the event.
After Danhausen uncursed the Knicks in a Cameo video, the team went on to win the NBA championship in a historic run. Taking advantage of the buzz, WWE is hoping to have Knicks players appear at the upcoming special in Madison Square Garden, New York.
Danhausen Will Be Wrestling At Saturday Night’s Main Event
It has been confirmed that Danhausen will be in action against JD McDonagh at the July 18 special. The SmackDown star has had issues with The Judgment Day over the past few weeks as they trashed his lab after their money was stolen. McDonagh has also been cursed and electrocuted while trying to get revenge.
