Rhea Ripley looks to be the latest WWE star to come to terms on a lucrative new deal with the company.
With wrestlers’ contracts continuing to be a major talking point throughout 2024 WWE have been reportedly looking at locking in the remaining top stars to multi-year deals so that they do not become free agents and can be approached by other companies.
In a new update by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Ripley is “on the cusp” of signing the new deal which is said to be a 5-year contract. Additionally, the former Women’s World Champion has been given a “considerable raise” as part of the extension. It is also noted that while Ripley has not put pen to paper on the contract, one source believes that it is only “a matter of time.” The timing is also great for Ripley as October 11th is her birthday.
It should be noted that although Ripley looks set to confirm a new deal, she still has a considerable amount of time left on her current contract.
The Rise Of Rhea Ripley Continues
Arguably the biggest star in the women’s division right now and one of the most popular stars in the entire company, Ripley had a breakout year in 2023 by winning the Women’s Royal Rumble from the number one spot and going on to defeat Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39 to win the Women’s Championship. Holding the title for over a year, including a defence in her home country of Australia, Rhea Ripley had to unfortunately vacate the title due to injury. Looking to get the title back, Ripley has been feuding with current champion Liv Morgan since her return.
