Rey Mysterio has made his return from injury and will be in action at WrestleMania 42 in a championship match.
On the April 6 episode of Raw, the Hall of Famer appeared live following the 6-man match that saw Intercontinental Champion Penta, Je’Von Evans and Dragon Lee defeat Los Americanos. Mysterio hugged the winners and let the Houston crowd know that he would be one of the challengers in the IC Title ladder match. Although the babyfaces will have one more opponent to deal with in the match, all 3 were happy to have the former World Champion be a part of the match.
Mysterio was unable to compete at WrestleMania 41 as he suffered an injury shortly before the show. Mysterio was scheduled to face El Grande Americano at the 2025 event, but was replaced by Rey Fenix on short notice.
