Samoa Joe was brutally attacked at AEW All In: Texas and is expected to be off TV for a number of weeks.
Competing in the opening match of All In, Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and Powehouse Hobbs successfully defended their Trios Championships against Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta and Gabe Kidd. Although the champions retained their titles, Joe was attacked by Kidd after the match and stretchered out of the stadium.
In a follow-up report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, it is noted that the reason for the attack is to write Joe off TV so that he can help promote the upcoming second season of Twisted Metal, which is set to premiere on July 31. At the time of writing, it remains unknown how long Joe will be away from TV for.
Samoa Joe Retained AEW Championship At All In
Although multiple title changes took place at All In in the singles division, most notably in the main event when Adam Page defeated Jon Moxley to become the new World Champion, both Tag Team Championships did not change hands. Along with The Opps keeping hold of their Trios Titles, The Hurt Syndicate also retained their Tag Team Championships in a 3 way match against JetSpeed and The Patriarchy.
