Paul Heyman made his decision and paid the price.
Taking place on the June 28th episode of WWE SmackDown, The Wiseman was the victim of a brutal attack from The Bloodline after refusing to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as the New Tribal Chief instead of Roman Reigns.
Earlier in the night, Heyman met Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa in the parking lot and the Hall of Famer asked Sikoa about the whereabouts of Jacob Fatu, which was ignored by the de facto leader. The main event segment saw The Bloodline hold an acknowledgement ceremony featuring Heyman, Loa, Tonga and Sikoa. As the crowd chanted for Roman Reigns, Heyman was quickly cut off by Sikoa, who introduced Jacob Fatu despite saying earlier that he was not in the arena.
Sikoa then demanded that the Madison Square Garden crowd acknowledge him as an upset Heyman looked on. As Sikao asked The Bloodline to acknowledge him, Loa, Tonga and Fatu all obliged but Heyman refused, instead acknowledging that Sikoa is not his Tribal Chief. Unfortunately for the Hall of Famer, The Bloodline made him pay.
The Bloodline Betrays Paul Heyman
First hit with a Samoan Spike by Sikoa, Heyman was then hit with a splash by Fatu before being slammed through the announce table by The Bloodline.
A follow-up video was later posted to WWE’s social media channels, which saw Heyman stretchered from the ringside area and leaving the arena in the back of an ambulance.
