All hail The Ruler as Oba Femi is the new WWE King of the Ring!
At Night of Champions, Femi defeated Jey Uso in the final of the tournament to claim the prestigious accolade. Femi won the match by hitting the Fall From Grace onto Uso. Nick Aldis presented Femi with the crown after the bell.
As a result of the victory, Femi will go on to challenge for a top championship at SummerSlam. As the top champion on Raw is currently Roman Reigns, it looks like a showdown between the King and OTC is on the cards in August. The 2025 King of the Ring winner, Cody Rhodes, defeated John Cena at SummerSlam 2025 to win his 2nd WWE Championship.
Femi defeated Dominik Mysterio to advance to the final, while Jey Uso bested Je’Von Evans in the semis.
Oba Femi Looking For More Than King Of the Ring
Although Femi has been focused on King of the Ring over the past few weeks, that has not been his only goal. Following a loss to Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy, the former NXT Champion has made it clear that things are far from over between them. Femi squashed Lesnar back at WrestleMania 42, defeating the 10-time World Champion in under 5 minutes. Lesnar won the return match in Turin after hitting 7 F5s onto Femi.
