Nikki A.S.H. [Almost a Super Hero] is now Ms Money in the Bank. The former Nikki Cross won the contract in the opening match of the main show of Money in the Bank.
Nikki overcame seven other competitors to capture the briefcase. The other participants in the match were Alexa Bliss, Natalya, Tamina, Asuka, Liv Morgan, Zelina Vega and Naomi. The closing moments of the match saw multiple superstars across 3 ladders, each trying to grab the briefcase. The almost superhero then climbed up a ladder, over the ensuing struggle and grabbed the briefcase.
This victory is Nikki’s first Money in the Bank contract. The match also marked the pay per view debut of the new superhero gimmick, which was debuted on the June 21st episode of Monday Night RAW.
Nikki is now the 5th woman to win the briefcase. The other four superstars successful in the women’s match have been Carmella, Bayley, Alexa Bliss and Asuka. Commentary mentioned on multiple occasions that while the overall cash in success rate has been 83%, every woman who has cashed in her briefcase has become champion.
