The WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships have been given an upgrade.
Following on from The Miz and R-Truth being awarded new championships and being known as the World Tag Team Champions, A-Town Down Undeer have been given the same treatment. On the April 19th SmackDown, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller were presented with new championships and will be known as the WWE Tag Team Champions moving forward.
Similar to the Raw presentation, Triple H and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis introduced A-Town Down Under and unveiled the new championships. Waller and Theory arrogantly accepted the championships before being called out by Aldis. Immediately after, a fatal 4-way match took place that saw The Street Profits win and be named the new number one contenders for the championships.

What Else Happened On WWE SmackDown?
The show opened with AJ Styles defeating LA Knight to become the new number one contender to Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed Championship. The main event match saw Naomi challenge Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship but this ended in a no contest as Tiffany Stratton attacked both wrestlers.
