New Match Added To WWE Clash In Italy

A Tribal Combat match for the World Heavyweight Championship has been added to WWE Clash in Italy.

Kicking off the May 18 episode of Raw, Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu once again met in the ring. Even though The Usos tried to calm Fatu down, things quickly escalated into a brawl. With Fatu tied up in the ropes, Reigns and The Usos continued the beatdown on Fatu. After recovering, Fatu asked for their rematch to be Tribal Combat, which Reigns accepted.

Tribal Combat is a standard no DQ match, which is ended via pinfall or submission.

At Backlash, Reigns defeated Fatu in a singles match to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Fatu continued the assault on Reigns, holding the gold in the air as the show went off the air.

Also announced for the Premium Live Event is Cody Rhodes putting his WWE Championship on the line against Gunther.

It should also be noted that Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi also looks set to be confirmed following the events that took place on the May 18 Raw. Lesnar made his return for the first time since WrestleMania, laying out Femi with 4 F5s.

Updated Card For WWE Clash In Italy:

  • Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther – Singles match for the WWE Championship
  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu – Tribal Combat match for the World Heavyweight Championship

WWE Clash in Italy will air live from Turin on May 31. The show will air on ESPN in the United States and on Netflix internationally.
