Fight Factory Wrestling Mayhem left fans stunned in silence when all was said and done as a new Heavyweight Champion was crowned in the main event.
Headlining the show at One NK in North Hykeham, Lincolnshire, 20-year-old Joey Slade defeated Rogan to capture the title for the first time in his career. This was also the first major title the Nottingham wrestler has won outside of his home promotion, House of Pain.
Taking advantage of an exposed turnbuckle, Slade hit 2 Helldrivers to pin Rogan for the victory and end his 400-day-plus reign as champion. After the ref counted 3, the crowd were in disbelief over the result, as firm fan favourite Rogan looked set to walk out as champion.
When the victory finally set in, Slade celebrated with a dance break before making his way to the back. However, the night was not over as Erin Jacobs made his way to the ring to handle unfinished business with Rogan. Jacobs choked out Rogan as Slade refused to help his opponent. The FFW roster came to the aid of Rogan to send the fans home happy.
Speaking with Features of Wrestling following the victory, Slade backed up the promises made in an interview that took place the week prior:
“Everything I said in our interview on Features of Wrestling was true. I wore my new gear, with the House Of Pain Academy logo on it. I brought out a new side to me that no one expected and I left the room speechless when the words “AND NEW” were announced!”
Anarchy, Betrayal And Contenders Crowned At Fight Factory Wrestling: Mayhem
Kicking off the action was The Revolt vs. Ace Matthews and Mike Raphone to determine who would be next in line to face The Maulers for the Tag Team Championships. The Maulers watched on from ringside as The Revolt picked up the victory, but attacked Mike and Ace after the match.
Up next was Strap looking to win back his Anarchy Championship after losing the title to Benjamin Quill at the FFW School earlier in the week. Receiving one of the biggest reactions of the night, Strap was definitely the favourite here, with many hoping to see the masked wrestler repeat his success of The Drill show back in April. With chairs, a bin, a kendo stick and a baking tray, this was a highly entertaining contest reminiscent of the Hardcore Title brawls back in The Attitude Era. Both men fought around ringside until they went crashing out of the fire escape. While it was announced that the match was over, they would return.
As Carter made his entrance to defend his Junior Heavyweight Championship against Visage, Strap and Quill had made their way up to the first floor of the venue. Continuing the fight before the next match, Strap utilised a mop and a Lollipop sign before both went out of vision once more. Back in the ring, Carter noted that Visage had used their wig in previous matches, so asked them to fight fair. Faced with the challenge of an experienced performer, Carter attempted to use the title to get the win, but ultimately utilised the small cradle pin to keep his title. However, this was not the end of the action to close out the first half.
Making their return to the ring, Strap and Quill’s brawl continued. Quill once again attempted to use the candle to get the win, but Visage stopped the attack. Strap capitalised on the chaos to hit his jumping stunner and regain the title, much to the delight of the fans.
The FFW battle royal kicked off the second half, featuring a mix of the more established names and the rising stars. Erin Jacobs made his return as an unannounced entrant, but was fought off by Rogan before his main event title match. The final 3 were Damien Valentine, Eliza Roux and Kiya, who watched on from ringside as the couple battled it out. With Roux eliminating Valentine, it came down to Kiya and Roux once more. Kiya won the match by eliminating Roux. Losing to Kiya at 2 consecutive shows, a frustrated Roux looked to attack the winner with a chair, but Valentine prevented the assault.
The penultimate match saw brothers AJ and TJ Loeve look for revenge on J.O.C and Crook. While the Loeves were on the same page, their opponents were not. Reluctant to tag one another in and engaged in a game of one-upmanship, a quick roll-up secured victory for the brothers. Irate at the loss, Crook snapped and delivered repeated attacks onto J.OC., resulting in the J.O.C needing assistance to be carried to the back.

Fight Factory Wrestling will return to One NK on July 11 with Blood and Iron.
