Netflix Shares First Look At Upcoming John Cena Movie

Netflix has given fans its first tease of the upcoming comedy movie Little Brother, which will see John Cena as part of the cast.

On January 7, the streaming service posted a photo of Cena alongside Eric Andre to promote the new comedy, which will also star Michelle Monaghan. Netflix posted a follow-up article to provide more details on the movie, which stated that “the story revolves around a famous real estate agent (Cena) whose carefully curated world is upended when his eccentric “little brother” (André) unexpectedly reappears in his life.”

The movie is being directed by Matt Spicer, who is best known for his Independent Spirit Awards-winning film Ingrid Goes West, which was released back in 2017.

Reposting the photo on his own social media, Cena expressed his delight in being able to work with Eric Andre on the upcoming project:

I have wanted to work opposite Eric for a very long time and this photo is many, many years in the making. Cannot wait for you all to stream and enjoy the work of this incredible cast on @netflix!

No release date has been announced, but the film is currently slated to be released on the streaming platform in 2026.

John Cena Made Multiple Appearances On Netflix Throughout 2025

Although Cena is now focused on Hollywood projects, fans are very familiar with his professional wrestling career, which spanned more than 2 decades and saw the film and TV star win more World Championships than anyone in company history with 17 reigns.

Throughout the previous year, Cena embarked on a lengthy retirement tour that saw the 17-time World Champion make appearances all around the world and at all of the major Premium Live Events. Cena lost his final match to Gunther at the December 13 Saturday Night’s Main Event special.
