Exhibition matches have been added to the December 13 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event card, which will also play host to John Cena’s final match.
On the December 5 SmackDown, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes met with NXT Champion Ricky Saints and his Deadline opponent, Oba Femi. Rhodes let the champion and challenger know that whoever walked out of Deadline with the title would be facing him in an exhibition match at the upcoming special.
The other exhibition match announced for the show will see former Women’s Champion and Royal Rumble winner Bayley take on Sol Ruca, who previously reigned as the Women’s North American Champion and has been a star on the rise in NXT throughout 2025.
Also on SmackDown, Gunther defeated LA Knight to win The Last Time is Now tournament and earn the right to be John Cena’s final opponent. Rounding out his retirement year and his 20-year-plus career, Cena will step into the ring one final time to face The Ring General.
The Following Has Been Announced For The December 13 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event:
- Cody Rhodes vs. Ricky Saints or Oba Femi
- Bayley vs. Sol Ruca
- AJ Styles and Dragon Lee vs. Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater
- John Cena vs. Gunther – This will be John Cena’s final match
Saturday Night’s Main Event will air live from Washington D.C. on Peacock in the United States and on YouTube internationally.
