AEW Revolution takes shape with multiple matches announced for the event.
Expecting just one opponent at the pay-per-view, World Champion Samoa Joe was met with a surprise on the February 7th episode of Dynamite. Adam Page and Swerve Strickland faced off in a number one contenders match that ended in a time-limit draw. As a result, the World Title match will be a 3-way match at Revolution.
Also on Dynamite, Sting and Darby Allin won the AEW Tag Team Championships for the first time in their careers. The celebration was short-lived as the new champions were attacked by The Young Bucks after the bell. While Sting’s final match has been confirmed for the event, it is expected that Sting and Allin vs. The Bucks with the titles on the line will be the match.
“Timeless” Toni Storm will defend the AEW Women’s Championship against Deonna Purrazzo at Revolution. Recent signee Purrazzo has made it clear ever since she arrived that she wants Storm, and will get the match at Revolution on March 3rd.
At Full Gear 2023, Will Ospreay was revealed to be the major AEW signing. Announcing that he needed to finish up previous commitments in NJPW, Ospreay makes his long-awaited return at Revolution and will face off against Konosuke Takeshita.
On February 21st, The Blackpool Combat Club and FTR went to a time-limit draw. With a winner needing to be determined, the two teams will face off once again at Revolution.
