Logan Paul Caught Off-Guard By R‑Truth’s Surprise WWE Return At Money In The Bank 2025

Logan Paul Says He Was Blindsided By R-Truth's WWE Return, Even Though He Was In The Match

WWE star Logan Paul has admitted that even he was blindsided by the return of R-Truth, despite the fact that he was a part of the match where the return took place.

The social media star teamed with John Cena in the main event of Money in the Bank on June 7th, 2025, to take on Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. The closing moments of the match saw the referee distracted after Paul hit a moonsault to the outside and onto Jey Uso.

Taking advantage of the distraction, Cena struck Rhodes with the championship and looked to win the match by nefarious means once more. However, a hooded figure attacked Cena and struck him with the gold, revealing himself to be the returning R-Truth, who had let fans know that his time with WWE had come to an end just 6 days prior. Truth’s return came to be as fans constantly called for the WWE star to come back with loud “We want Truth” chants heard on TV. When the former 24/7 Champion did appear, the segment was met with a huge ovation and quickly went viral on social media.

“No One Told Me R-Truth Was Coming”: Logan Paul

With Truth’s return kept under wraps, everyone was surprised to see the former Tag Team Champion come back, including Paul. Speaking about the moment on his Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul stated that no one wised him up to the return as he was outside of the ring:

“No one told me R-Truth was coming! I’m sitting there, just selling, but not selling because this sh*t’s real and it all hurts so bad. Out of nowhere comes f*cking R-Truth, who I thought was fired. I’m sitting there, he comes back and I’m like what the f*ck is he doing here! In the moment I’m like [gasps]. Then he hit John and we lost the f*cking match.”

On the next episode of Raw, R-Truth once again crashed the show by cutting an impromptu promo on the announce table. Cutting off his hair, Truth declared that he would be known as Ron Killings moving forward.

Although Paul and Cena were on the same page at the start of the match, the regular blind tags quickly created dissension among the duo, leading to Uso to take advantage of the distraction and tag in Rhodes.
