Liv Morgan Wins Women's World Championship At WrestleMania 42

Liv Morgan is on top of the Women’s Division once more following her victory at WrestleMania 42.

Competing at night one of the Premium Live Event in Las Vegas, Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer to capture the Women’s World Championship for the second time in her career, and her 3rd reign as Women’s Champion overall. Morgan won the match thanks to interference from Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez of The Judgment Day. After Perez distracted the ref, Rdriguez shoved Vaquer off the top rope. Vaquer took out The Judgment Day, but Morgan hit a second obLIVion to win the match and the title.

Morgan at one point attempted The Devil’s Kiss on Vaquer, but Vaquer countered. Vaquer also hit the obLIVion onto Morgan, but Morgan kicked out.

The defeat brings Vaquer’s reign to an end at 210 days. Vaquer won the championship at Wrestlepalooza after it was vacated by Naomi due to pregnancy.

This was the 3rd title change to take place on the show. Earlier in the night, Paige and Brie Bella won the Women’s Tag Team Championship, followed by Becky Lynch defeating AJ Lee to win back the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Liv Morgan Turns Royal Rumble Win Into Championship Victory At WrestleMania 42

Morgan earned the opportunity to challenge for a Women’s Championship of her choosing after winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match earlier in the year, last eliminating Tiffany Stratton. Shortly afterwards, Morgan attacked Vaquer to make their match official.

The other Women’s Champion, Jade Cargill, will defend her title against Rhea Ripley on night 2.
