A title match has been made official for the July 6 WWE Raw as the road to SummerSlam continues.
A title change took place in London on June 22 as The Street Profits defeated The Vision to win the World Tag Team Championships. One week later, The Profits appeared live with Joe Hendry to celebrate their victory. As Hendry made fun of Austin Theory, the former tag champion interrupted. Theory informed The Profits that there would be a rematch for the titles next week. Theory then went on to face Hendry in a losing effort.
Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins won the titles thanks to an assist from a returning Joe Hendry and Seth Rollins. Hendry chased Logan Paul away after Paul tried to interfere in the match. With the referee distracted, Rollins struck Theory with brass knuckles to allow Ford to capitalise, hit the frog splash and win the match for his team.
Also on the June 29 Raw, 3 matches were made official for SummerSlam. With the show just over a month away, it is also expected that more matches will be made official for the upcoming Premium Live Event.
WWE Raw Line-Up July 6:
- The Street Profits (c) vs. Bron Breakker and Austin Theory – Tag team match for the World Tag Team Championships
- Sami Zayn (c) vs. Cody Rhodes – Singles match for the WWE Championship
