WWE has announced a title match for the July 31 WWE SmackDown, which will be the final stop before SummerSlam.
Over the past few weeks, The War Raiders have made it clear that they are targeting the WWE Tag Team Champions, which are currently held by R-Truth and Damian Priest. During the July 24 SmackDown, it was announced that The Raiders would get their opportunity on the SummerSlam go-home show.
SummerSlam will be the main focus of the show as the 2-night Premium Live Event will take place over the following weekend. The biggest matches on the SmackDown side include CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship, and Nick Aldis making his return to the ring against Gunther. It’s likely that the aforementioned names will be appearing live on the show to speak about their upcoming matches.
On the July 24 SmackDown, Gunther powerbombed Aldis through a table during their contract signing. Aldis is likely going to give a response on the show.
