Three title matches have been announced for the August 14 edition of WWE SmackDown, with one match being a triple threat.
On the August 7 SmackDown, Jacy Jayne challenged Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s US Championship. Cargill only accepted if she and Chelsea Green could face the remaining members of Fatal Influence for the Women’s Tag Championships. Fatal Influence won the match, meaning that the group has the opportunity to all be champions next week.
At SummerSlam, Baron Corbin defeated Trick Williams to become the new US Champion. After defeating Williams in the rematch on SmackDown, Corbin will next put the title on the line against Carmelo Hayes, who is also a former US Champion.
The final title match currently announced will see the Tag Team Championships on the line. Damian Priest and R-Truth will put their titles on the line against both The War Raiders and MFTs. The MFTs interrupted the previous match between the champions and The Raiders, leading to the triple threat announcement.
