All Elite Wrestling will make its debut in Mexico on June 18th with the latest AEW Grand Slam event.
Airing live from Arena Mexico, the Grand Slam special will see a title match take place along with stars from the CMLL promotion also in action and a massive 10 man tag match that will feature the World Champion Jon Moxley.
TBS Champion Mercedes Mone is looking to add another championship to her collection. During the Summer Blockbuster special, the TBS Champion issued a challenge via social media that she wanted to face Zeuxis for the CMLL World Women’s Championship. After being confronted by Zeuxis on the show, Tony Khan announced on social media that the title match would take place at Grand Slam Mexico. As Mone is also the RevPro Undisputed Women’s Champion and the EWA Women’s Champion, The CEO will be hoping to add one more title to her collection.
Also at Summer Blockbuster, MJF confronted Mistico and challenged the CMLL star to a match in his home country, which was accepted. Paying homage to his time as the AEW American Champion in 2024, MJF also promised to bring back the red white and blue for the upcoming match.
The Opps, Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland continue to have their issues with The Deathriders as they have been attacked ultiple times over the past few months. All 5 men will be in action against the faction and The Young Bucks as part of the special in Mexico.
