Yet another member of the AEW roster has confirmed that they will be a free agent imminently as their contract is coming to an end.
As announced on his social media page, Bear Bronson’s contract will expire on June 1st, at which point he will become a free agent. Bronson expressed gratitude to everyone who believed in him and that he would bet on himself moving forward:
“Tomorrow, I am officially a free agent in pro wrestling To everyone that believes in me, To my family, & to my beautiful wife: I love you all, I’m grateful to live this life & grind. Now, I chase EVERYTHING I’ve ever dreamed of in full force & bet on BEAR FUCKING BRONSON!”
Bronson was best known for his time in the Iron Savages tag team alongside Bear Boulder. However, Bear Boulder, real name Thomas Wansaw, was fired from the company in February following an arrest the previous month related to assault charges. It was later revealed that the person Wansaw attacked was his fiancée.
Bronson last competed on AEW TV on Collision in November 2024 and also made appearances for ROH the following month. Bronson regularly competed on the independents throughout 2025.
At the time of writing, it is unknown if more departures will be coming over the next few days.
