For the second time in his career, Kenny Omega is the AEW World Champion, and is set to headline All In Wembley next month.
Omega faced MJF for the title in the main event of the July 8 AEW Dynamite: Beach Break special. Unlike previous meetings, Omega would be unable to challenge for the championship, meaning if he lost the match.
Although MJF looked to cheat to win, Omega had an ally in the form of Will Ospreay. MJF attempted to use the Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Ospreay ran down to the ring and stole it from MJF’s hands. As referee Bryce Remsburg dealt with the interference, Omega grabbed the title belt and was about to hit MJF, but the champion begged off and hit a low blow and belt shot onto Omega. However, Omega kicked out at one, hitting three V-Triggers and a One Winged Angel for the pin and win.
The victory brings MJF’s third reign to an end at 45 days. MJF won the title back from Darby Allin in the main event of Double or Nothing. Omega previously won the championship back in 2020, holding the title for 346 days before dropping it ot Adam Page.
As a result of the victory, Omega is set to compete in the main event of All In against Will Ospreay, who won the Owen Hart Cup at Forbidden Door to earn the opportunity. Omega and Ospreay are 1-1 in previous meetings.

This will be the 4th time that Ospreay has competed at an All In show, and the third inside Wembley Stadium. The British wrestler is currently undefeated at All In shows. In 2023, Ospreay defeated Chris Jericho while signed to New Japan. The following year, Ospreay bested MJF to win the International Championship. At the 2025 event in Texas, Ospreay and Swerve Strickland picked up the win over The Young Bucks to strip the Jacksons of their EVP status.
