Kairi Sane, Aleister Black and The Wyatt Sicks are among the names who have been released from their WWE contracts.
On April 24, news broke via Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful or by the stars themselves that more than 20 names have departed the company. The releases have been announced shortly after WrestleMania 42, with main roster and NXT stars being informed that their time with the promotion has come to an end.

As is the case with WWE releases, all main roster talent now have a 90-day no-compete clause, while those in NXT have to wait 30 days before they can become a free agent and wrestle for another company.
Kairi Sane, Wyatt Sicks And More Leaving WWE
Sane was prominently featured on the Raw brand due to her alliance with Asuka, which also saw The Kabuki Warriors feud with IYO SKY. Sane was previously brought back to the company in 2023 to join the Damage CTRL faction, and last competed on the Raw after WrestleMania.
Aleister Black’s release comes approximately one year after he made his return to WWE on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 41. Previously released during the pandemic, Black went on to sign for AEW and competed under the name Malakai Black. Black left AEW in the spring of 2025.
The Wyatt Sicks [Bo Dallas, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis and Nikki Cross] made their debut in 2024 after multiple vignettes teased their arrival. The group last feuded with the MFTs on SmackDown, losing to the group on the final SmackDown before WrestleMania.
Alba Fyre was regularly featured on SmackDown, and aligned herself with Chelsea Green as part of The Secret Hervice faction.
