John Cena Appearance Announced Before WrestleMania

John Cena WrestleMania

John Cena will make one final appearance on WWE TV before his match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.

As announced by WWE, Cena will appear live on the April 18th episode of SmackDown at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which will also serve as the final episode of programming before WrestleMania the following weekend. Cena made 3 appearances on Raw in Brussels, Glasgow and London as part of the company’s recent tour of Europe. The most recent appearance saw Cena and Rhodes engage in a legendary promo battle that saw a number of topics touched upon, including AEW, Vince McMahon and Cena’s abilities as a professional wrestler.

With Cody Rhodes also expected to appear live, the segment will likely set up the final build to their match at WrestleMania 41, where Cena is looking to win a record-breaking 17th World Championship. In a previous promo, Cena vowed to retire as champion and also erase the legacy of Ric Flair in the process, who is also recognised as a 16-time World Champion.

John Cena Prepares For Final WrestleMania

WrestleMania 41 will see Cena appear on The Grandest Stage for the final time as an in-ring competitor in what will also likely be his final appearance in Las Vegas. The Hollywood star earned the right to challenge Rhodes at Mania after emerging victorious in the Elimination Chamber in March. Following the victory, Cena turned heel and joined forces with The Rock after Rhodes rejected the offer to sell his soul to The Final Boss.

The Las Vegas appearance will be Cena’s first in front of an American crowd sicne the heel turn.
