Jacy Jayne Becomes Double Champion At TNA Slammiversary

Jacy Jayne made history at TNA Slammiversary by capturing the top women’s championship in the promotion.

Competing at the Premium Live Event on July 20, the NXT Women’s Champion defeated now former Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich in a winner take all match. The closing moments of the match saw Fatal Influence’s Jazmyn Nyx and Fallon Henley interfere, only to be fought off by Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee. Slamovich seemingly had the match won, but the referee was down. Jayne won the match by hitting the rolling encore onto Slamovich.

The defeat brings Slamovich’s reign to an end at 267 days. Slamovich defeated Jordynne Grace at Bound For Glory 2024 to win the title for the first time in her career. As a result of the victory, Jayne has become the first contracted WWE star to hold the TNA Knockouts Championship and is also the first wrestler to hold a WWE and TNA championship simultaneously.

Jacy Jayne And Trick Williams Hold The Top Prizes In TNA

Jayne joins Trcik Williams as a contracted WWE star to hold a TNA Championship. Williams defeated Hendry at NXT Battleground in May to win the top prize in TNA and make history. In the main event of Slammiversary, Williams defeated Mike Santana and Joe Hendry to retain the title.
