Hulk Hogan WrestleMania Boots Sell For More Than $1 Million At Auction

Boots worn by Hulk Hogan for one of his most iconic WrestleMania matches recently set a new record at auction as they sold for more than $1 million.

The boots sold for $1,037,000 at auction on March 1by Heritage Auctions, making them their first piece of pro wrestling memorabilia to sell for 7 figures. The boots in question were worn by Hogan at the first WrestleMania, which saw the Hall of Famer team with TV star Mr. T to take on Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff inside Madison Square Garden. The match is one of the most important in history as it was the main event of the first show that went on to transform wrestling into the global sensation it has become today.

Along with the item being photomatched to prove the authenticity, the boots are also hand-inscribed by Hogan with the following message: “These are my real boots with my real blood on them from MSG.”

For context, the boots worn by Hogan 17 years later for his WrestleMania 18 clash with The Rock sold for $146,400.
