WWE honoured the life and career of the late Hulk Hogan on the latest episode of SmackDown.
The July 25 edition of the show opened with the stars of the blue brand at the top of the entrance ramp along with legends and Hall of Famers including Ted DiBiase, Jimmy Hart, B. Brian Blair, Gerald Brisco, Sgt. Slaughter, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Triple H spoke to the crowd and acknowledged the death of Hulk Hogan before a 10-bell salute rang through the arena in Cleveland. The feed then cut to a video package narrated by Triple H, documenting the career of Hogan and also touched upon the man behind the persona, Terry Bollea.
When the video ended, a “Thank you Hogan” chant rang through the arena before the previously planned show got underway. Clips of Hogan also played throughout the night, with Cody Rhodes also acknowledging what Hogan had done for the wrestling industry later in the show.
