AEW has unveiled the full bracket for the Tag Team Championship tournament, which saw the second match take place on the July 26 episode of Collision.
Following FTR’s victory over Jetspeed on the July 23 Dynamite, the Bang Bang Gang defeated Big Bill and Bryan Keith on Collision. Also during the broadcast, it was announced that the other two matches set to take place in the tournament will be The Outrunners vs. The Young Bucks, and the Gates of Agony will face Brodido (Bandido and Brody King). The Outrunners vs. The Bucks has been announced for the next episode of Dynamite.
Tag Team Tournament Winners To Advance To AEW Forbidden Door
The winning duo will challenge Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view on August 24, which will air live from the O2 Arena in London, England. The Hurt Syndicate won the Tag Team Championships on Dynamite at the start of the year. Their most recent defence occurred back at All In: Texas, which saw the duo defeat Jetspeed and The Patriarchy in a 3-way match.
On the last episode of Dynamite, The Hurt Syndicate reached an agreement with Cope to attack FTR, as the Hall of Famer is currently banned from engaging in physicality with Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.
