Goldberg Makes Promise For WWE Retirement Match

Goldberg Makes Promise For WWE Retirement Match

Goldberg has provided another update about his upcoming WWE retirement match that is set to take place later in the year.

Although the Hall of Famer has previously announced that he would get back in the ring one final time in 2025, details from insiders and the man himself have been extremely limited. At the time of writing, it is unknown when or where the match will take place or if the opponent will be Gunther following their previous altercation at Bad Blood.

While the 4-time World Champion is still remaining secretive over the finer details, he has revealed that when the time comes, he won’t be making his entrance alone. During an appearance on The Claw Pod with Ross and Marshall Von Erich, Goldberg stated that he will be accompanied to the ring by his son Gage:

“There is one thing that I can say about my match, is that I will be proudly led out by my son.”

Gage has previously been a part of WWE storylines during the feud between Goldberg and Bobby Lashley, which saw the Hall of Famer’s son put in The Hurt Lock at SummerSlam after Lashley defeated the Hall of Famer. Gage currently plays football for the University of Colorado.

When discussing the location, the former World Champion noted that he did want the match to take place in Israel, but is very aware that it is not a possibility given the current issues in the country:

“You guys know that I’ll do anything for my faith. Truth be told, my dream was to have my retirement match in Israel, but quite obviously because of the surroundings right now, over the past five years, it just hasn’t been the right place to do it. I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you that I was sorely disappointed that I couldn’t do something in Israel. But hey man, retired doesn’t mean dead by any stretch.”

“I would be honored to go out there, I really would,” Goldberg continued. “You never say never but like I said, we’ve been trying to do it for the past number of years and it just didn’t work out.”

Goldberg Gives Insight Into Final Match Location

In a previous interview, Goldberg once again spoke about the final match and gave a hint as to where it would take place amid speculation from fans.
