WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has given fans an indication of where his final match will take place.
The former World Champion made the announcement in late 2024 that he would officially call time on his in-ring career this year. Although Goldberg has provided regular updates regarding his training for the match, the Hall of Famer has yet to appear since Bad Blood and there has been no indication in storylines as to when he will return to set up the final contest.
While speaking with MySA, the former WCW star did not give an indication on the date, but he did note that it would take place in one of the southern states, as those close to him could be in attendance:
“It’s going to be in the South. This gives me the opportunity to put a stamp on my career in front of the people I care the most about.”
Goldberg is from Atlanta, Georgia, which is where Bad Blood 2024 took place. During the show, the Hall of Famer had an altercation with Gunther, who is speculated to be the final opponent. At the time of writing, no WWE Premium Live Events have been scheduled to take place in that area.
Also in the interview, the former World Champion admitted he doesn’t know how to prepare for the final chapter:
“I don’t know what’s going on,” he continued. “How do you prepare for the end? It’s morbid to me.”
Goldberg Previously Addressed Retirement
Back in July 2024, the Hall of Famer conducted an interview looking back on his career. During the conversation, Goldberg spoke about why he never joined AEW and how he felt that he was previously forced into retirement.
