First Names Advance In John Cena Tournament; More WWE Stars Added

More matches have now been made official for the John Cena tournament as the first 2 WWE stars have advanced to the next round.

On the November 10 edition of Raw, Rusev defeated Damian Priest and Sheamus defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to each advance to the next round of the tournament to determine Cena’s final opponent at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.

Also on the show, it was announced that Solo Sikoa would be in action next week against a mystery opponent. Also set to take place on the November 17 show, a returning Gunther will face NXT star Je’Von Evans in a first time ever matchup. This will also be the first time that Gunther will be in action since SummerSlam back in August, which saw The Ring General lose his World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk.

On the November 14 SmackDown, Jey Uso defeated The Miz, and LA Knight defeated mystery opponent Zack Ryder.

As Cena won the Intercontinental Championship on the November 10 show, it is now likely that his final match will also have the title on the line.
