A title match, former friends collide, and more have been announced for WWE Backlash 2026.
The main event of the show is now set as Roman Reigns will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fau. The main event segment of the April 27 Raw saw both men meet face to face in the ring once more following their confrontation the previous week. Proving he is unhinged, Fatu locked Reigns in the Mandible Claw and Tongan Death Grip to stand tall. Reigns, gasping for air, confirmed that he would see Fatu at Backlash.
The opening segment of the show saw Seth Rollins call out Bron Breakker after he was attacked the previous week. Rollins said that despite Breakker’s success, he is not ready for the main event, which Breakker disputed. Following a war of words between both men, Breakker vs. Rollins was later confirmed for Backlash.
IYO SKY looked to win gold on the April 27 Raw as she challenged Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. However, Asuka interfered in the match and locked SKY in the Asuka Lock after the bell. Asuka vs. SKY has also been announced for Backlash.
