Finn Balor And JD McDonagh Win Tag Team Championships On WWE Raw

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh are once again the World Tag Team Champions.

Competing in the opening match of the June 30 edition of WWE Raw, Balor and McDonagh defeated Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day to become 2-time holders of the tag team titles. The finish of the match saw Kingston miss a dive to the outside, allowing Balor to capitalise. McDonagh hit a moonsault onto Woods, followed by Balor hitting the Coup De Grace onto Woods to win the match and the titles. Dominik Mysterio joined Balor and McDonagh to celebrate with the duo as pyro went off in the arena.

The title change brings The New Day’s reign to an end at 72 days. Woods and Kingston defeated The War Raiders at WrestleMania 41 to win the Tag Team Championships for the 12th time. Balor and McDonagh previously held the titles back in 2024, winning the gold on the June 24 Raw and losing the championships in December.

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh Bring Gold Back To The Judgment Day

As a result of the title change, all 5 members of The Judgment Day now have championships. Along with Balor and McDonagh now reigning as Tag Team Champions, Dominik Mysterio is the current Intercontinental Champion. Additionally, Raw and SmackDown General Managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis recognised Roxanne Perez as one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Championships alongside Raquel Rodriguez. Liv Morgan previously reigned as champion alongside Rodriguez, but will be out for months after suffering a shoulder injury. The decision was made to have Perez named as the replacement partner as opposed to vacating the championships.
