Fatal Influence are champions on the main roster following the latest WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Competing in the opening match of the July 18 special, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid defeated Brie Bella and Paige to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships. The closing moments of the match saw Paige rolling up Reid, only for Jacy Jayne on the apron to reverse the momentum, allowing Reid to roll through and score the victory and the titles. Jayne joined Fatal Infleunce on the ramp after the match as the trio celebrated while pyro went off inside Madison Square Garden. This was the only title match to take place on the show.
The victory marks Reid and Henley’s first championships on the main roster. The trio were called up to the main roster shortly after WrestleMania 42 and have targeted the former champions following their arrival.
Fatal Influence Brings WrestleMania Dream To An End
Originally, The Bellas were set to challenge for the titles at WrestleMania 42. However, with Nikki Bella not cleared to compete, Paige made her surprise return at the biggest show of the year. Paige and Brie went on to win the titles and hold them for 91 days.
