“The Original” El Grande Americano has found himself 2 new allies, who made their “debut” on WWE Raw.
In the opening shots of the May 4 episode, Americano was seen speaking with 2 masked men. Although the masked wrestlers are Julius and Brutus Creed, and were named as The Creeds by Michael Cole, Corey Graves corrected his broadcast colleague. Graves referred to the masked men as Julio and Bruto, Los Americanos Hermanos.
Later in the show, Julio and Berto teamed with El Grande Americano, who is Chad Gable under the mask. The trio defeated the other Americano [Ludwog Kaiser], Rayo and Bravo [Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate] in a trios match. Gable Americano won the match by hitting Bravo with a diving headbutt.
The match is part of a major rivalry in AAA between the 2 Americanos, which will lead to a mask vs. mask match at La Noche de los Grandes on May 30. The Creeds, without masks, recently came to OG Americano’s aid during a contract signing at AAA, putting Kaiser Americano through a table.
El Grande Americano Reunited With Old Friends On WWE Raw
Prior to adopting the luchador gimmick, Chad Gable formed an alliance with The Creeds and Ivy Nile after leaving Alpha Academy. Gable’s former faction comprised of Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri. Frustrated with Alpha Academy unable to pick up the big wins, Gable betrayed his former allies.
The Creeds last competed on WWE’s main roster in late January as part of a multi-team tag match.
