CM Punk’s first match is seemingly set following the shock return to WWE at Survivor Series.
With Punk now back in WWE a reality, many are awaiting that first match in the company. On the December 11th edition of Raw, Punk announced that he had signed with Raw and would enter the Royal Rumble match. However, fans in the New York and LA area will get to see the Best in the World live before the year comes to a close.
As part of their tour of the United States during the holiday season, WWE will host non-televised events at Madison Square Garden in New York and The Kia Forum in Inglewood on Saturday, December 30. According to the venue’s social media, Punk will be in action at both events and will face off against Dominik Mysterio.
This will be Punk’s first match in WWE in nearly a decade, as the former World Champion last competed for the company at the 2014 Royal Rumble before walking out the next night.
CM Punk Gets Heated With Seth Rollins
Also seen on the December 11th Raw was the long-awaited confrontation between Punk and Seth Rollins, with the World Heavyweight Champion making it clear that he wants nothing to do with Punk in WWE. Following Rollins berating Punk and predicting his demise, Punk responded that when he wins the Royal Rumble he will go after Rollins’ title.
