CM Punk is preparing for the greatest comeback of all time.
As was seen during the February 5th broadcast of WWE Raw, cameras caught up with Punk shortly before and shortly after the former World Champion underwent triceps surgery.
Seen struggling to get something out of his bag, Punk admitted that being unable to do basic tasks was the biggest frustration:
“This is the most frustrating thing, little simple tasks like this.”
Issuing an update after the surgery, Punk admitted that he was in a lot of mental pain but will be back stronger than ever:
“I am in a lot of pain. It’s mental more than anything. I can handle pain, I can power through hard PT [physical therapy]. The mental aspect of it I think is a lot harder than the physical. [This is] Day 1. My comeback will be the greatest of all time.”

CM Punk Will Miss WrestleMania 40 Due To Injury
Making his shock return to WWE at Survivor Series, Punk made it very clear that he had one goal in mind, main event WrestleMania 40. All signs pointed to this proclamation coming true as Punk would have a verbal confrontation with Seth Rollins, which was going to lead to a World Heavyweight Championship match in Philadelphia and very likely the main event of night 1.
Unfortunately, Punk tore his tricep in the Royal Rumble, his first televised match in WWE in 10 years. With reports circulating about the injury a few days later, CM Punk made the announcement on Raw that he would be out for a number of months and would not be making it to WrestleMania in 2024, but is hopeful that he will the following year.
Punk’s injury is one of many unforeseen circumstances that have forced WWE to make unexpected changes to the card.
Features of Wrestling would like to wish CM Punk a full and speedy recovery.
