The fallout from The Rock’s appearance, the build to Elimination Chamber and more took place on WWE Raw.
The wrestling world was a buzz once again on February 2nd and over the weekend when The Rock made a surprise appearance and effectively challenged Roman Reigns at WrestleMania instead of the original plan of Cody Rhodes. With the segment booed over the weekend, many were curious as to how this would be addressed.
Multiple matches were also announced for Elimination Chamber, which is the next WWE Premium Live Event and will take place on February 24th.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE Raw:
- Recapping the segment that saw The Rock return, the St. Louis crowd booed the video before being quickly interrupted by Seth Rollins. With the crowd wanting Cody Rhodes, Rollins brought out Rhodes. Rollins wanted an answer to what Rhodes plans to do at WrestleMania before being interrupted by Drew McIntyre. McIntyre pleaded with Rhodes to face Roman Reigns so that he could have Rollins all to himself. McIntyre attacked Rollins but Rhodes stood tall.
- DIY defeated Imperium, The New Day and The Creed Brothers. Gargano and Ciampa will face Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate on February 9th with the winners receiving a tag team title shot at Elimination Chamber.
- Rhea Ripley’s WrestleMania challenger will be decided in an Elimination Chamber match. Becky Lynch defeated Shayna Baszler to qualify.
- Rhea Ripley will defend the Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax at Elimination Chamber
- Ivar and Valhalla defeated Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri
- The Miz defeated JD McDonagh thanks to help from R-Truth
- Gunther celebrated 600 days as Intercontinental Champion before being interrupted by Jey Uso, who wanted to be next in line for a title shot.
- The Kabuki Warriors defeated Kayden Carter and Katana Chance to retain the Women’s Tag Team Championships
- Cody Rhodes defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in a Bullrope Match. Drew McIntyre attacked Rhodes after the match.
