Bold Predictions: Survivor Series 2020

Time to pause those feuds because brand warfare is here. Because of the draft being so recent and other WWE rules (see women’s tag team champions can be anywhere), some of these “dream” matches have been very real. But what will happen during the annual November war known as Survivor Series? Here are some bold predictions…

It’s Smackdown’s year

Last year NXT won the war, mostly to try and promote the brands recent move to mainstream network television. Two years ago, RAW dominated with a win in every match on the main show. 2020 will be the year of the blue brand. It will be closer than previous years though. Expect Roman to win for Smackdown and Asuka to win for RAW. The squabbling between RAW men’s and women’s teams will be their undoing and give the blue brand the edge in the elimination matches.

A Cash in attempt?

As mentioned here in the most likely scenarios, The Miz may try to cash in. He is not booked on the card so will be fresh, and he has his eyes on the prize. There will be a double down spot between Reigns and Orton, and that is when Miz and Morrison will try to take advantage. Expect there to be reasons that the bell does not ring and it is unsuccessful, such as a Drew Mcintyre interference or simply the champions chasing them off.

Not as advertised.

The champion vs champion concept has been confirmed, but the champions are not. Every year, at least one title changes hands before the event, changing the dynamic. And with the initial card predominantly showing face vs face and heel vs heel, some belts will be switched. Predictions are The Hurt Business to win the tag team titles from The New Day and Sasha Banks to lose her title.

HE says goodbye to a legend?

The big build for Surivior Series 2020 is the final farewell for The Undertaker. Thirty years and he will be saying his goodbyes to WWE. The Fiend has unfinished business with the dead man. Expect the lights to go out, eerie violin and a face-off five years after their last encounter. If this really is goodbye, what better way to write off The Undertaker. The Fiend has then “retired” both John Cena and The Undertaker, meaning Randy and Roman could be next…
