Becky Lynch has acknowledged that it is WrestleMania season and has addressed her potential involvement at the event.
The former Women’s Champion has been away from wrestling for close to a year after choosing to let her contract expire and focus on family life. While not officially announced by WWE, it has been previously reported that Lynch has re-signed with the company and was never removed from the roster page, meaning that it is a matter of time before The Man makes her highly anticipated return to wrestling.
With WrestleMania taking place on April 19th and 20th, there is of course speculation that Lynch could make an appearance at the show given its importance and her star power. However, while appearing at The Ultimate Improv Show, Lynch stated that she is not wrestling anytime soon, but her husband Seth Rollins is:
“It’s WrestleMania season, isn’t it? Look, I’m not wrestling anymore. Maybe one day, but not right now. But my husband is!”
Rollins will compete in the night one main event against Roman Reigns and CM Punk.
Who Did Becky Lynch Face At WrestleMania 40?
Competing in the opening match of the weekend, Lynch challenged Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship. Both women were given a special entrance with Lynch promoting her autobiography and Ripley being sang to the ring by Motionless in White. Ripley won the match to continue her reign.
