Baron Corbin Responds To WWE Return Rumours

Baron Corbin, now Bishop Dyer, has released a statement regarding rumours that he may be on his way back to WWE.

Quoting a report from Fightful SelectDyer, real name Tom Pestock, Dyer stated on social media that he was busy with shows in Europe, adding that he was unaware that his time with other promotions had come to an end, such as MLW:

Had to correct my horrible grammar. I accepted 8 shows in Europe. My eye is still swollen from Australia. I also didn’t know i was done with some of these companies. Who ever is making my schedule needs to let me know this shit. I thought it was me but apparently it’s not.

Recently, rumours have begun to circulate that Dyer could be on his way back to WWE. The aforementioned Fightful report notes that Dyer has finished up with MLW, where he previously teamed with Donovan Dijak as one half of The Skyscrapers. Dyer has also been seen in GCW, Maple Leaf Pro and World Series Wrestling in Australia since his departure.

One of the more outlandish rumours regarding plans for Dyer concerns Danhuasen’s latest experiment. On the May 15 SmackDown, Danhausen was seen in a lab conducting another project. As Danhausen was previously seen retrieving a battered Gingerbread Man costume, some have speculated that the costume could be revived in the style of Frankenstein, with Corbin being eventually revealed as the man in the suit.

The former Corbin was with WWE from 2012 to his release in 2024. During his decade-plus run with the company, Corbin won the King of the Ring tournament in 2019, the Money in the Bank ladder match in 2017 and is also a former United States Champion. In NXT, Corbin held the Tag Team Championships with Bron Breakker.

Corbin spoke about his exit in late 2024.
