Returning once more for 2026, AEW Double or Nothing remains a cornerstone of All Elite Wrestling.
The first official pay-per-view for the promotion back in 2019, Double or Nothing has now become one of the biggest shows on the calendar for the Jacksonville company. One of the promotion’s signature matches, the Stadium Stampede, is set to make its return on the show as Team Chris Jericho will take on Team Ricochet.
Additionally, Darby Allin will defend the World Title against MJF in a rematch from the start of the month. However, if MJF can’t get the job done in New York, he will have to have his head shaved.
It should be noted that Willow Nightingale vs. Alex Windsor in the Owen Hart Tournament was scheduled for the show. However, after suffering an injury, Nightingale had to relinquish her spot in the tournament, along with the TBS Championship.
AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 Predictions
Jericho, The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin), and The Elite (Kenny Omega, “Jungle” Jack Perry, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson) vs. The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona), The Don Callis Family (Mark Davis and Andrade El Idolo), and The Dogs (Clark Connors and David Finlay) – Stadium Stampede
The long-awaited return of the Stadium Stampede match takes place at Double or Nothing. Much like iterations before and the Anarchy in the Arena match, expect literally anything to happen as the 14 men fight all over the arena. While this will have a tough act to follow given what came before it, this could be one to remember. In terms of the winners, this feels like Jericho will finally get his big win back after returning back in April.
Winners: Team Jericho
Thekla (c) vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Kris Statlander
It’s likely that Thekla will remain the champion out of Double or Nothing, but for how much longer? This could be the show where Mercedes Mone returns from hiatus and goes after the one title she couldn’t capture during her belt collector run.
Winner: Thekla
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita For The International Championship
No surprises that this will be the best match of the night from an in-ring standpoint. There is every chance that this could be one of the best matches of the year for action alone and the story attached. Takeshita is ready to cement himself as one of the top Japanese stars in wrestling, and this is a much-needed win for The Alpha. Okada is closer to the end of his career than the beginning, and it is very much Takeshita’s time.
Winner: Konosuke Takeshita
FTR (c) vs. Adam Copeland And Christian Cage – “I Quit” Match For The Tag Team Championships
There is the added jeopardy here that if Copeland and Cage lose then they can’t team again for the rest of their careers. Much like the Sting retirement tour, it’s likely that the veterans will get one more tag title run before calling time on their career. Cage and Cope will win the titles here, and will likely hold them until All In. The duo’s final bow will likely be at a Canadian pay-per-view later in the year.
Winners: Cage and Cope
Samoa Joe vs. Will Ospreay – Owen Hart Cup First-Round Match
Surely 2026 has to be Ospreay’s year. With AEW set to return to Wembley for All In, now feels like the time when Essex’s own gets to headline the biggest show on the calendar in London. In what will be a true power vs speed battle, this feels like an Ospreay win. The Deathriders and The Opps will likely get involved, but this is Ospreay’s tournament to win this time around.
Winner: Will Ospreay
Swerve Strickland vs. Bandido – Owen Hart Cup First-Round Match
Although Bandido is the ROH World Champion, this feels like a Strickland victory given that he is the bigger star and has been away from TV for a number of weeks. When the bracket was announced, there was a possibility that Brody King and Bandido could face off. However, it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer for the Brodido match.
Winner: Swerve Strickland
Darby Allin (c) vs. MJF – Title vs. Hair Match
There is the logical story here that Allin has burned himself out with too many big matches ahead of the MJF match. With Allin defending the title every week before the show, and MJF being the fresher competitor, there is a strong case for MJF to win his title back. That being said, wrestling lore dictates that when something is mentioned on TV, more often than not it will happen. MJF being shaved bald would be an entertaining sight to see, and here’s hoping it will happen.
Winner: MJF
