Bad News Brown Joins WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2026

Bad News Brown has been announced as the latest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class.

Triple H first broke the news on March 26 on social media, outlining some of Brown’s biggest accomplishments:

“From standing on the podium at the 1976 Summer Olympics to the center of the ring at #WrestleMania IV, Bad News Brown was a fierce competitor with an attitude to match. For his accomplishments in combat sports and contributions to @WWE, it is a pleasure to announce his induction into the 2026 Legacy Class of the #WWEHOF.”

Brown made the jump to pro wrestling after a successful judo career that saw him win a bronze medal for the United States at the 1976 Olympics. Starting with New Japan Pro-Wrestling shortly after, Bown also competed for Stampede Wrestling in Canada and the WWF back in the US. Brown was known as “Bad News Brown” and “Bad News Allen” throughout his career.

Hailing from Harlem, Brown tore through opponents such as Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, and was victorious in a battle royal at WrestleMania 4, which included the likes of Harley Race and Bret Hart as fellow participants.

Brown will be inducted posthumously over WrestleMania 42 weekend, as he passed away from a heart attack back in 2007. Brown will join the legacy wing of the Hall of Fame.
