The late Sid Eudy, also known as Sid Vicious and Sycho Sid, will be honoured with a posthumous WWE Hall of Fame induction over WrestleMania weekend.
WWE announced on March 24 that the former 2-time WWE Champion would be inducted into the legacy wing as part of the 2026 class. The news was first broken by Chief Content Officer Triple H, who said the following about the late wrestler:
“No matter which moniker you knew him by, Sid’s intensity was palpable across the ring and through your TV screen,” Levesque wrote. “A multi-time champion in @WWE and WCW, and a two-time #WrestleMania main event, it’s a pleasure to announce that he will take his rightful place in the 2026 Legacy Class of the #WWEHOF.”
Sid main evented 2 WrestleManias in 1992 and 1997 against Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker, respectively. Along with his 2 World Title reigns in WWE, Eudy also captured the tp prize in WCW twice.
Prior to his passing in 2024, Sid stated in one of his final interviews that he was hopeful that a Hall of Fame induction would come while he was still alive:
“You’d think that they would offer that. Again, Vince [McMahon] didn’t like me so much; I think that’s why they haven’t offered me that. But, with Vince being gone now, you’d think those people would say, ‘Hey, this guy, we still got him on contract. He is still making a little bit of money. It would help him if we did that’, and it would help them as well. You would think they might want to do everything they could to promote something like that. That might be something fun to start, too. If you get back in, you might want to do something like a part-time deal, [be a] manager, or special – I think I was pretty good at interviews, too. There’s always a lot of people having a hard time with that. If I could teach them, maybe I could help them do their interviews”.
Eudy passed away from cancer after battling the condition for years.
