Asuka Signs New WWE Deal

Asuka has re-signed with WWE and will remain with the company for the foreseeable future.

Asuka is the latest WWE star to re-sign with the company.

As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the former Women’s Champion recently committed to a “long-term” contract. It should be noted that the length of the deal was not disclosed in the report. Currently a member of the Raw roster, The Empress has an impressive list of accomplishments to her name which includes 4 reigns as Women’s Champion, 4 reigns as Women’s Tag Team Champion, Royal Rumble winner and Money in the Bank winner, which turned into a title reign when Becky Lynch relinquished the title due to pregnancy.

Asuka Recovering From Injury

The Raw star has not been seen since Backlash back in May when she and Kairi Sane dropped the Women’s Tag Titles to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. Since then, The Empress stated that she would need to undergo knee surgery, which the Raw star stated on her YouTube channel took 90 minutes to complete. Due to the injury, Asuka was pulled from the Queen of the Ring tournament.

While the former Women’s Champion has not been seen since Basklash in a televised capacity, the Raw star did accompany the roster for their recent tour in Japan back in July. There have been no updates as to when Asuka is expected back on WWE TV.

Features of Wrestling would like to continue to wish Asuka a full and speedy recovery.
