Alex Windsor has opened up about the instant chemistry she had with her tag team partner, Jamie Hayter.
Earlier in the year, Windsor and Hayter formed The Brawling Birds. Introducing fans via a vignette in the pub, the British stars have entertained the fans with their exaggerated stereotype of the UK drinking culture.
After picking up wins on TV, Windsor and Hayter are set for the biggest match of their lives at All In. Not only will they be challenging for the Women’s Tag Team Championships, but they will also be competing for the titles inside Wembley Stadium. With the home advantage, many of the fans will be hoping that a title change takes place on August 30.
Speaking with The Wrestling Classic ahead of All In, Windsor admitted that the champions have proved themselves, but they haven’t faced challengers the calibre of The Brawling Birds:
You can’t deny they are spectacular. Even just the look, you know they are formidable opponents and worthy of being the tag team champions, but I don’t think they have faced anyone like The Brawling Birds.
Alex Windsor Says It Is “Special” Teaming Up With Jamie Hayter
Both women are accomplished wrestlers in their own right. Windsor previously held the RevPro Women’s Championship, while Hayter is a former Women’s Champion in AEW. Although both women have gone off to pursue singles gold, Windsor admitted that there is a spark when they team up. Because of this and the extra motivation of Wembley, Windsor is hoping that it’s coming home at All In:
“When we first got together, we had that instant chemistry. That is still very prominent with us. We both had trime off, we both did singles. I think being together as a team, we’ve realised that is what is really special with us. We are very unique and very successful as a team. I think having that going into this match and having that extra fuel of being at Wembley, I don’t think what Divine Dominion can match what me and Jamie have going into this match.”
