AEW Forbidden Door took place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York on Sunday, June 30th.

The crossover show featured stars from NJPW compete and for the first time ever at the pay-per-view, stars from CMLL and STARDOM. The main event of the show saw World Champion Swerve Strickland defend the title against a man very familiar with New Japan, Will Ospreay. The IWGP Heavyweight Championship was also on the line as Jon Moxley faced off against the man he defeated to win the title, Tetsuya Naito. Additionally, MJF made his return to in-ring action on pay-per-view as he faced off against Hechicero at the event.

  • Kings of the Black Throne (Malakai Black and Brody King) defeated Tomohiro Ishii and Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong and Gabe Kidd, and Private Party (Zay and Quen)
  • Willow Nightingale and Tam Nakano defeated Kris Statlander and Momo Watanabe
  • Mariah May defeated Saraya in the opening round of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup
